with effect from today 27/09/07 every wed there will be laoshi special item practise.so please go and attend.timing is the same 6.30pm ~ 9.30pm.please go.this is important coz wat we are playing is going to show to laoshi how far as a symphony player has become.the song memory may be simple to us as compared to miss saigon or hora.but the song as many intonation and chords tat needs to be worked out as a section.please do not take tis for granted.i repeat.DO NOT TAKE MEMORY FORGRANTED.tis is an important song and is DEDICATED to laoshi.so please take tis seriously.

Practice Ends for Exam break

Well, yesterday was the last prac before the exam starts... Band will resume on 4th Sept... Haha.. Well, we all know why this week the attendance is so bad... But! We still urge you all to try and come... Yesterday attendance was the worst... =.=" Only 3 people before Sarah and Hong Ghee came at 9+pm... =.=" Tues at least better lah hor... Cause at least got 3 more people...

Well, was chatting with Laoshi again... Haha... He was saying that Sarah, Hansel, Hong Ghee, Jiexin, Hasniza and I got potential to excel... Haha! Woohoo~ Let's promote Hasniza to first... LOL! =X I'm mad... Wahaha! Anyway, that's part of the conversation... Lalalaa~

Anyway, people please try to come as often as you can... Don't think laoshi don't know who come who don't... Cause he just asked me about Eliza... LOL! =X Yesterday played so many pieces lah... Concert Is Finally Over!!!

Well... The concert is finally over... Everyone is back to busy with schoolwork already... XD Next concert we'll look forward to is... Sinfonia! XD

Well done.. You all had put in alot of effort.. IN the camp... In the rehearsals... You all did well for the concert... Laoshi said so too... Start worrying about your exams and tests ba... LOL! =/ I'm evil... Hahaha! Anyway, Do your best for everything!

If you all are going to get busy with your projects all that can't come let Fahmi or Sarah know, they will excuse you if it's valid de... =D Everyone take care ya?

Well... I was chatting with laoshi this morning... And I asked him how does he find the clarinet section... Wahaha! He say we did well... Especially the slow part for praise...

However, Bar 88 all the semi-quavers... Don't rush... Must be very stable... We need to practice slowly... And tried using other rhythm or even use other tempo too... Every note must be very strong and clear... After slow practice, we will have very clear and precise note... And every 4 bar breath... Can play the last note shorter... Save some time for breathing... So that we won't rush cause we don't have enough air... All these bars to 115 are very crucial... We must play it very smoothly, peacefully... In order to do all these, Breathing is the important point... Must use it very wisely... Don't make it feel like your stagger breathing...

Well... That's what we need to do... XD So... People spend more time doing all these exercise... Spend time with the bar 88 to bar 115 notes... LOL! =X

there is no more year 1 junior prac on every wed.instead it has become such that every alternate week there would be woodwind sectionals and brass sectionals with laoshi.

ur days to come are as follow:

and so on.

therefore all of u will need to come every tue and thur practise every week and attend the wed as scheduled.

to all clarinetist:

it has come to my attention that wed is not a good day as in our first wed practise we had only 4 people coming.me, many, hong ghee and marjorie.which in other words is not good.therefore, i would like to have a copy of your time table please.this includes the seniors too please. so that i can sort out which day is it best for all(in favor of the year 1, if more year 1 can come on a specific day instead of the seniors, we will make it that day).

this is important coz we muz sound good individually so we sound even better as a section.^^

Please submit all of ur timetable to my email(fate_fate89@hotmail.com) or personally(when i having break ^^). this has to be submitted by tis saturday 12 midnight.

CookieMonster feels b4 the performance we will sound GOOD and even better during the performance.

since our performance are drawing nearer.i proposed to have sectionals every wed.it will be from 2pm - 5pm every wed.those who can come please tag on the tagboard on mon or tue so we can know who is coming.i urge u all to come so we can all improve as a section.

hey.this is bad.every1 getting sick.i hope everyone have been drinking more water and most impt REST.(i am such a bad role model...i sleep at 3am but i still drink alot of water okok).anywae, i need to announce something.on wed starting this week.the juniors which is u all will have band practise.

wed : a day for all juniors need to come.clarinets are prioritise to the JUNIORS.seniors can come to help.but all the clarinets are priortise to all junior.

therefore, some of ur combo will look like this

tue,wed,sat OR
wed,thur,sat.

i am aware that some people have work and stuff like that on wed, the reason need to give to me before u have this special combo

but i would greatly advise all juniors to attend wed practise since all juniors will be there on that day.

regarding about the sectionals, when all of us get a clarinet each, i will call desmond(tutor) to teach us.for me, i maybe tis wed coming down to band room(i will ask sarah first) and try to sort out my own part.so those who wanna follow me can do so.i ard 3pm to 5pm having my own personal sectionals to sort out my own part.anywae.regarding the pirates thing, i will try to arrange another outing so that all of us can go out and have fun 2gether AS A SECTION.wahaha.i tink shld be noisy but could be kinda cool.so yar.maybe we dun have mvie but rather eat and chat chat chat till the day is over?

i'm like now listening to soundtracks from the movie "THE NOTEBOOK"
it's like an awesome kickass show, it made me cry till my eyes got swollen lar.
okay digressing.
but it has some really really really great musical/orchestra pieces in that movie,
many of which consist of clarinet solos.
HAHA!
LIKE FINALLY RIGHT?
it's not all the time you get to hear clarinet solos everywhere.
